Last year i felt that the Niemanns were very deserving and earned all the votes they recieved fairly. Now Joe and his family are going through a hard time in their life as well and all anyone can accuse them of is cheating? The Braun's are just trying to do something nice for their mother and everyone who has been voting can see that so there is no possible way that this contest is rigged or we are cheating we just feel compassion for these people

We have 639 members in our Facebook group that are diligent in their voting. To Jared, Nadia and James, especially, please don't say that we are cheating just because we are achieving what you have not been able to in an honest and moral way. Also, Jared, violent threats are absolutely ridiculous. Grow up.

Joe would never cheat other honest hard working people in the contest. Fetching facebook user (on 31/3/10) I swear to you guys I haven't been cheating, I sit on the internet for 10 hours a day constantly making sure people voted I put atleast 15 hours of work into this every day, and if you can't stand the competition then don't, if we were cheating wouldn't it make sense that we'd also have like 2000 photos? You can check, I've now sent out 3 messages telling people not to make multiple accounts every account that has voted is a legitimate account and I've personally checked. I have 4 other people helping me with this, who are all putting in as much work as I am. Did you stop to think that maybe it's not cheating it's just a lot of hard work? Quit disparaging mine and everyone else's efforts because you're worried you'll lose. I'm just very good at promoting my mother.

My husband works at a tech school and knows that when voting is rigged it goes up very consistantly and it will show on the make up of the page. :) It does seem very odd that your mom was one of the first ones to post and she is sitting at over 800 and the other post was put up over a week later and is sitting at 700. Tight community or not.

How embarrassing for you to have to hide behind a shield of blame in order to sooth your poor sportsmanship! Everybody who is voting for a candidate here is doing so in support of a loved one, but how many others do you see publicly bashing the competition? From what I have read, it is only you. Melissa, Jared, what gives you the authority to slander our support of the Braun’s and the Niemann’s? How hypocritical it is of you to claim to respect us then blatantly accuse us all of cheating? Perhaps you, and others, do not understand the power of a closely-knit community. The Braun’s and the Niemann’s have been loved and well-respected for years, why wouldn’t we all do our best to band together and try to ease the their pain? Yes, we are in a competition, though even if we don’t win, at least we will feel joy for Lynn, pride in our efforts, and furthermore, we will leave with our pride and dignity intact.

I am so thankful that I live in a close knit community where we actually care about one another, where everyone from school votes, and then get their friends and family to vote, where people from work vote, where people from church vote, where extended family that live across the country and across the world in jamaica and barbados and australia vote! So please, with all due respect, stop acting like a sore loser and have some dignity. Yes, we did win last year and it was such a blessing! I can proudly say that we accomplished it all honestly, as I was the head of the effort. Am I wrong to encourage and help Joe and his family? (All of whom I have never met by the way) I would do the same for you if we were in the same circles. With regards to "giving someone else a shot", did you not start this contest a week before us? How much more did you need? That's like saying, you've already won $100, let someone else have a chance at the rest. Please continue to do your best efforts, because we will continue to do ours. I'm sure that if Joe's mom doesn't win, she will be just as happy and grateful to be surrounded by her loving family. If you didn't win, from the sounds of it, it would seem that your family would just end up bitter. I urge you to rethink your perspectives about why you entered this contest, for we do this out of love and kindness and compassion for our fellow human beings. If we lose, we congratulate and cheer your valiant efforts and pat ourselves on the back for doing the best we could. Also as a side note, you might do well to tell some of your people not to leave disrespectful messages on other peoples pages, I've seen a couple and they both trace back to here.

However there are people that know how to cheat that too :( Hopefully Orchard Park will be able to determine the cheaters.

She worked hard to clothe and care for them. Never spending on herself. I strongly feel Lynn is very deserving of this contest. Sincerely Cathy Spence
