Eileen Schuh (my Mom)

I am picking a woman whose strength, love and compassion shines on the world around her, my mom. Half her life has been fighting pain, exahuastion and disability. When Eileen turned thirty she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis beginning a journey filled with painful surgeries, months of laborious rehabilitation, severe deformities plus raising a daughter on her own. The past twenty years Eileen has had all her joints replaced including all her knuckles on both hands, and dispite it all she was able to get up every morning and give me her best. She also volunteered as the president of the Kelowna Arthritis Society and with the Salvation Army, always giving of herself to anyone who needed it. After fighting for the past thirty years she has been hit with another brickwall.....Non hodgkin's Lymphoma, not only is she having to fight to make it through her day but is now fighting for her life. I can't think of anyone more deserving for this freshervention than she is.
