My name is Joe Braun, I'm seventeen years old and I'm entering on behalf of my mother. Her husband of thirty years passed away in October after suffering from cancer for nearly eight months. During those eight months my mother never lost hope, she never tired or faltered and adopted the role of a care giver as well as a mother. My mother took extensive care of my father during his last eight months of life. My parents were high-school sweethearts and were one of the happiest couples I've ever had the privilege of knowing. My father's passing last October has really taken a toll on my mother and although she would never admit it I can tell it hurts her everyday. My father was also our primary source of income and since his passing, my mother in an effort to maintain a happy lifestyle for my brother and I, has been spending all of her money on our house and us, leaving none for herself. She now takes care of my brother and I full time while trying to juggle our lives with hers and her career. Please vote for my mother as she could really use this.
